LegalShield provides affordable access to legal and identity theft services for individuals, families and businesses of fewer than 100 employees. Our unique differentiator is providing you with access to a dedicated network of provider law firms in 50 states and 4 provinces of Canada.
While the company has been in existence for 46 years, I have been an independent associate for 6.5 years, assisting hundreds of families in the Chicagoland area to access these services personally or as a voluntary employee benefit.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In the spirit of assisting clients in making fully-informed decisions, general information about how our services work is shared, along with an initial conversation to guage the specific needs of the client. In the event that our services are a best fit, we walk through next steps and plan a follow-up call after the client has made first contact with our law firms.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our standard pricing is listed below:
$24.95 monthly service cost ($299.40 if annual option is selected) for our family legal services plan. There is no contract. These plans include legal advice and consultation on an unlimited number of personal matters, contract and document review (up to 15 pages), letters and phone calls written on your behalf, traffic ticket representation, and a host of additional services. We also offer identity theft solutions through licensed private investigators. Our services for individuals are $9.95 monthly and $24.95 monthly for a family of up to 10.
*Our legal service plans cover: you as the member, your spouse or significant other, never-married, dependent children up to the age of 26 if living at home or in college full-time, up to age 18 if you are the legal guardian and physically or mentally challenged children are covered for the life of the service.
**Our identity theft family plan covers a member and spouse or signficant other, and up to 8 dependents under the age of 18.

Our client base ranges from individuals and families seeking Will preparation, other estate planning and general legal consultation needs, to discounted representation for more complex legal matters, to small business owners looking to protect and grow their businesses and empower their employees.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Based on standard hourly rates for legal services, evaluate if the value of what you get through our services provides a better proposition without sacrificing quality of service. With national rates hovering around $250 per hour for an attorney's time, our annual service cost of less than $300 provides a greater breadth of access to law firms nationwide and attorneys with an average of 19 years of experience in their respective areas of practice.
