In most cases I am able to service your entire case remotely using phone calls, mail and email. When it comes time to have your documents signed I offer a self-service signing option that allows you to execute your documents using easy-to-follow yet detailed instructions. However, if you prefer, I am always happy to meet you at a convenient location to sign the documents or invite you to my office for signing.  I can assist clients in any Illinois county.

I provide Mediation services in family, divorce and probate/estate  matters as well as civil, business, landlord/tenant and family disputes. I hold a certification in Dispute Mediation as well as a Law License so I understand both the personal as well as legal aspects of the situation at hand. In many cases mediation is the perfect solution for resolving conflicts in a manner that keeps control, saves time and money, and reduces the risk of unwanted outcomes that court can provide. Please contact me to learn more about how mediation may be the perfect solution to resolve your dispute or conflicts.

Cases that are good candidates for mediation include:

- Divorce - Contested and Uncontested

- Child Support

- Parenting Time & Custody

- Parenting Agreements

- Maintenance / Child Support Modification

- Post-Decree Matters

- Small Claims Matters

- Landlord / Tenant

- Contract Disputes

Price shown is my hourly rate. A retainer is generally required.

Sorry, I do not take cases involving Restraining Orders and orders of protection, DCFS, child abuse, domestic violence, incarceration, paternity, guardianship  or adoption. Cases such as these require an attorney who concentrates in those areas specifically and are not appropriate for the type of legal service that I provide.

Please contact me for legal assistance on all kinds of transactional matters such as leases, contracts, agreements, etc. As I have over 20 years working with complex contracts and agreements, I am happy to discuss your needs further to see if I may be of assistance.

Please contact me today to see how I can help. I will do all that I can to earn your trust and confidence.

Thank you, and I look forward to serving you!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Read Client Reviews at

New clients are invited to meet with me for a no-cost / no-obligation 30 minute consultation. Here we will discuss your legal matter and what your desired outcome is. This meeting can be in-person or by telephone, whichever is most convenient for you. From that meeting, if we decide to move forward, we will agree on next steps and the fees that will be charged for legal services.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I hold a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and a Master's Degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. These degrees are in computer science. I received my Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. I also hold a certificate in family and divorce mediation. I have extensive corporate experience working with both internal and external clients in negotiation, deal making and dispute management. Here I have gained the invaluable skill of understanding the importance of listening and understanding the needs of all parties involved before determining the best final solution to a particular problem.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

Pricing is very dependent on your particular issue. The rates that I state here are for guidance purposes only. Once we are able to meet for a no-cost / no-obligation 30 minute consultation, if we agree that it makes sense to move forward, I will quote a price for the services that we agree on.

How did you get started in this business?

I enjoy helping people and find great satisfaction in assisting someone reach their goal. I understand that what may seem small to one person is a big deal to another. Each matter I work on is as individual as the client I work with.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All kinds. Everyone from individuals representing themselves in court to large corporations.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I particularly enjoy working with clients who need a lawyer's help to solve a particular complex problem. I recently represented a client who was in a will dispute with a relative. Rather than battling out the issue in the courtroom, we were able to reach a mutual understanding that the wishes of the deceased are of paramount importance and that they must be honored. Although this matter became less of a legal matter and more of a matter of counseling family members to a mutual understanding, it gave me great satisfaction to assist in resolving a family dispute that had been ongoing for many months.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

There is nothing wrong with doing your research before deciding on which attorney to use. Be sure that you find someone who has the necessary skill and insight to perform the tasks needed in your particular matter, but also has a personality and work ethic that you can be comfortable with.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

A good attorney is one that will listen and be genuinely concerned with the client's matter. Before the initial meeting, it is a good idea to write down any and all questions that you may have. This can include questions such as: What does the attorney need from me? How long should this work take? What will the process be? What do you need from me?
