The initial client interview is conducted by phone, email or text. Afterwards, a written attorney-client representation agreement must be signed before any legal services are rendered. Meetings may be conducted in person or remotely via zoom conference. I will travel to meet with clients as needed for their convenience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my bachelors degree from Northwestern University, where I majored in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I also studied microbiology and human physiology at Harvard University. I attended law school at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago. I have also been a licensed Illinois real estate broker and insurance broker.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
All of my cases are handled on a contingency basis. This means you pay no fee for my services unless there is a monetary recovery. My standard fee is 33.33% (1/3) of the total gross recovery for personal injury cases and 20% for workers' compensation claims. Generally I advance the case expenses and get reimbursed from the recovery. Sometimes the maximum fee is determined by state statute or local court rules.
