What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I speak with the client personally to answer any immediate questions for them. I provide my personal cell number so they can have access to legal advice whenever needed. We generally have a personal meeting at my office to cover details of their case. Their petitions or answers are prepared and filed and we diligently pursue the case for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in economics and history from Emory Univrrsity. I also have a doctor of laws degree, with distinction, from Emory university School of Law. I founded and managed a 20 plus attorney firm for many many years. I have also founded and managed several investment businesses. I am well acquainted with financial matters and division of property issues. I have handled more than 7000 cases in my career.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Hourly legal work on family law casss are billed at $250 per hour and my clients have a great advantage since my experience allows many matters to be handled expeditiously at great savings to the client.
Workers Compensatiin cases are handled on a 25 percent contingency fee. Personal injury claims are handled on a 1/3 contingency fee.
How did you get started in this business?
I wanted to be an attorney since I was a small child. I started college with the intent to go straight to law school, which is exactly what I did. I graduated college in 3 years and graduated from law school at 24 years of age and have been practicing since 1979.
What types of customers have you worked with?
In my career I have represented major corporations, like Delta Airlines, Home Depot and many others, as well as professional sports teams, insurance companies and thousands of private individuals.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have very tight family ties, a 40+ year marriage to my high school sweetheart. We have 3 sons and 7 grandchildren. I am particularly fond of spending time with them which we do often.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for an experienced attorney who does not like to loose. You need someone with passion to fight for your interest and you can’t find that passion without the desire to win! I can assure you, I want to win every case.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I think the customer needs to think about presenting the honest facts to the attorney and the attorney will help them resolve the issues.
