I am a sole practitioner with 23 years of experience, with an accounting and business background. I have also have three now adult children and am divorced. My parents divorced when I was nine. I had my own business and worked in management for a Fortune 500 corporation before graduating cum laude from GSU College of Law here in Tlanta in 1995, so I have the personal experience to understand a client's issues. I do not tell client's what the necessarily want to hear but rather attempt to give them ready able expectations. This hopefully has the effect of reducing legal costs. When a divorce is overly expensive, only the lawyers benefit. Obviously, I cannot control our opponent's attorney, but I never engage in unnecessary litigation,; however, neither do I engage in endless negotiation. If a settlement cannot be reached, then let's let a judge or jury decide.
