The positive benefits of a therapeutic relationship include self-understanding and self-acceptance, emotional balance, resolution of past hurts, freedom from guilt and shame, empathy, healthy dependency, contentment, a sense of wholeness, and empowerment to give and receive love deeply. I have the training and experience to help people achieve these benefits and in the process overcome roadblocks like depression or anxiety, negative self-talk, grief and loss, destructive relationship patterns, marital distress, sexual struggles, and various types of trauma.
Half of my work is with couples. I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples, a warm, respectful and scientifically proven method for helping a couple enrich the quality of their relationship through the development of a secure emotional bond. I focus on dealing with the couple's unique history and present realities.
