About
I stand out in this field of clinical psychology in a way that others simply do not. I have a genuine passion and concern for my clients and treat each person as an individual. I do not use a "templated" one-size-fits-all approach. To the contrary. I work within my clients' individualized needs and desires to promote their transformation. I offer services to enhance their lives while providing a proactive approach to their treatment.
I absolutely love my work! I take great care and pride in how I treat my clients and love watching them transform into their healthy and productive goals for a brilliant future. My work is my passion and my passion is my work.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, when working with couples, I will see both parenters for the initial 90-minute session to get a feeling about what the concerns are. Then, I will see each partner separately for the next sessions. Finally, I begin working with the couples together on the treatment plan they have collaborated with me on.
When seeing individuals for eating disorders, mood or anxiety disorders, or substance use disorders, I will see the client for initial 90-minute appointment to review their history and to begin establishing a treatment plan.
The typical appointment time is 45-50 minutes (if using insurance); or 60-minute sessions for self-pay and/or if their insurance company allows the 60-minute session.
The length of treatment will depend upon the issues we are working on and the motivation of the client. This will be discussed with the client within the first two sessions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have earned two Masters Degrees and a Doctorate degree. I have specialized training as a Gottman Trained Relationship Therapist as well as an expert in the treatment of eating disorders.
I wrote a book entitled, "It's Not About the Weight: Attacking Eating Disorders from the Inside Out."
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
If the client has an insurance plan that is a PPO, they will be able to see me as their clinician and their insurance company will reimburse them for my services. I provide a very detailed Super Bill for the client to mail to their insurance company after every appointment.
My customary fees are:
90-minute initial consultation: $300
45-50 minute session: $175
60-minute session: $200
For those clients finding me through THERVO, I have extended a discounted rate of $165 for the 60-minute sesison.
I accept Medicare and all PPO insurance plans.
