What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process begins with educating the client on the law as it may apply to their individual circumstance and an investigation into the facts that will enable my firm to develop the best plan of action to accomplish the identified objectives of the client.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelors in political science, MBA, and Juris Doctor degree. My legal training includes personal injury, auto accidents, slip & fall, foreclosure defense, landlord tenant, divorce, contract disputes and general litigation.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Prices range on a case by case basis. Please contact my office to discuss in confidence.
How did you get started in this business?
I started out in foreclosure litigation back in 2012 and have since branched out into other areas of litigation and transactional practice.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The types of clients I work with are persons injured due to the negligence of others (most particularly car accidents and slip & fall), distressed homeowners in foreclosure that seek to save their home through modification or the mitigation of the financial loss through short-sale or deed-in-lieu options, landlords with non-paying or bad tenant(s), persons seeking to divorce and contract disputes between parties.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent project that I am fond of is preparing a guardianship renewal application for a client. This took approximately one week.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask about the professional's level of experience and their pricing structure.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Some important questions a prospective client should ask an attorney are: (1) What rights do I have in relation to this matter? (2) How common or unique is my situation? (3) How long may the process take? (4) What potential benefits are there to gain? (5) What are the potential pitfalls? (6) How much will I be billed? (7) What degree of active participation will be required of me throughout the representation? (8) What responsibilities may I have moving forward post representation?
