Jeff Cutler is a native Miamian, attending local public schools before graduating with honors from the University of Florida School of Business Administration (BSBA, Finance) and receiving his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida School of Law in 1982. He was a Captain and four-year letterman for the University of Florida Wrestling Team. Mr. Cutler returned to Miami in 1982 to live and practice law following law school.

Mr. Cutler’s areas of legal specialization include civil, corporate, and commercial law and litigation, including business and construction law, transactions and finance, personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, and insurance coverage litigation. He has handled trials and appeals in State and Federal Courts. With regards to construction law and litigation, Mr. Cutler has been a member of the Miami-Dade County Bar Association Construction Law Committee since 1999 and acted as its Chairperson from 2004-2006. In 1996, Mr. Cutler achieved the “AV Preeminent Rating” - the Highest Possible Rating from the Martindale-Hubbell legal rating agency and has maintained the highest rating without exception ever since. He was also selected by the Miami Herald and the Daily Business Review news publications as one of South Florida’s top-rated lawyers.

Jeff Cutler’s personal achievements and associations are numerous and varied. In November 2006, he was elected as a Councilmember of the Village of Pinecrest, a city found within Miami-Dade County, Florida, and re-elected in November 2010, serving until term limits in 2014. He acted as the Vice-Mayor of Pinecrest from 2008 to 2009, and 2012 to 2013. In September 2015, he was appointed as a Commissioner on the Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics and Public Trust, acted as its Vice-Chair from January 2016, until September 2017, when he was unanimously elected by the Commission and now serves as its Chairperson. The mission of the Ethics Commission is to ensure the integrity of both the governmental decision-making and electoral process, to restore and maintain public confidence in government, and to serve as the guardian of the public trust.

Mr. Cutler is also an active member in many national and local legal, business, and civic associations, including the American and Florida Bar Associations, Miami-Dade County Bar Association, and Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. He proudly volunteers as the Legal Counsel to the Howard-Palmetto Baseball & Softball Association, a youth baseball league he played in growing up in Miami, and is on the Board of Directors of and legal counsel to the Miracle League of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
