Rev. Jim Patten
About
Over 35 years of ministry, 25 of which were as a pastor, missionary, and chaplain, I have had the God given honor and privilege to counsel people who are in need of a Biblically based approach to their conerns and / or problems.
It is a joy to see how God has blessed so many individuals and couples heal from hurts, habits, and hangups and go on to live happy fulfilled lives.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I will drive to my client's home and engage in a 45 minute session. From that initial appointment, I will then draft an outline on what I know will best be tailored to their needs and deal with the issues at hand in the most efficient, effective, excellent way possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Master of Divinity, Bachelor's in Social Work, Psychology, and Communications. 25 years of official ministry prior to retirement and 10 years of subsequent ministry after retirement.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is a ministry and only to cover my personal costs without any desire to make a profit. The $60 minimum I charge for the initial session includes drive time to the client's home, hence $30 an hour for an initial 45 minute session.
How did you get started in this business?
God has given me a life long desire to encourage, bless, direct, counsel, and enable people of all types and all backgrounds to be the best they can be and enjoy this life to its fullest.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Executives, blue collar workers, addicts (of all types), felons, and people of both genders and every background, race, color, and creed imaginable.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Way too many to describe here...
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Be open to a Christian counselor working from a Biblically based perspective to bring healing, hope, and renewal to people's lives.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Will you be honest or just present a front?
Will you be humble or share from a pridefilled heart?
Will you be teachable or just looking for whatever you want someone to say?
