About

I have been serving Florida for 26 years now in two practice areas, estate planning (drafting wills, trusts etc) and workers' compensation law. In that time, I have given professional , personal service to literally thousands of satisfied clients from Key West to Pensacola and everywhere in-between.

As the attorney, I do all the work myself and that personal service undoubtedly makes for a high-quality experience. You will NOT just be a number here like you would at most of the firms you see on TV or the radio. As the big competition likes, to say, size does matter -- make sure you speak with a lawyer who will deal with you personally and treat you like a priority.

Because of COVID and the fact that I am a teacher, I went to this attorney for a will. Because I have children of my own, I thought I needed a trust. He took the time to explain to me what I needed, that I did not need a trust costing thousands of dollars, and all my documents were prepared in 2 days which was important because school starts next week!!!! The price was less than I expected. Highly recommend Lloyd and his assistant Isabel is a gem.

I felt like he actually cared about me and that I was not just a number to him. I had an accident case before and went to one of the big firms you see on TV and they didnt even know who I was half the time when I called.

    Frequently asked questions

Depends on the type of law.   I represent people injured on the job (workers' compensation cases) and I also do wills/trusts/estate planning.

For work comp cases, I do an initial phone consultation to gather information so that we can determine if it is something it looks like I might be able to assist with, and if so then an in-office/zoom/telephone appointment is scheduled to go over the case in detail.

For wills or estate planning cases, after an initial discussion to determine if you would like our assistance, the planning session via office/zoom/phone call usually takes about an hour and we strive to get a draft of all paperwork to you within 72 hours  -- a second call may be required to go over the draft and make necessary changes and for local clients, an in-office appointment to sign any documents I prepare is always included in the fees I charge. For remote client, I give detailed instructions on how to have your paperwork properly executed.

I have a business degree in International Finance and Marketing, a law degree, and a Master's degree in Taxation (focusing on estate planning).   I am also a trained circuit civil mediator and have mediated thousands of cases.  My firm has been serving the SW Florida community since 1997 so we are in our third decade of service.

For workers' compensation, the fee is a percentage of the benefits obtained.   This put is in the same boat with our clients so if the clients do well, we do well.

For wills/trusts/estate planning, the fee usually depends on the scope of the work to be done.  Typically we prepare a will, a living will/designation of health care surrogate and a durable power of attorney for one person for about $700. For spouses who both need documents, we do prepare the second set for a discounted rate as long as the two sets of documents are similar.  This is the "normal" situation.    Complex planning and the preparation of deeds involve additional costs. Trusts are priced on a case-by-case basis as the amount of work involved can vary significantly. Trusts are a useful planning tool and can save a small fortune in the right case and simplify your estate planning greatly so even though they can be expensive, my clients often find that the benefits outweigh the cost.

We represent people from all walks of life.  We have represented laborers and the undocumented and we have represented doctors and elected officials.  We are willing to help anybody that we are qualified to assist.

Don't base your attorney choice solely on advertising.  Find a firm that offers truly personal service.
