Bachman Counseling, Inc.
About
Most of my clients come to me because they feel stuck in life, relationships or direction and want to change. Many people believe that change is too difficult, too painful, or simply not possible. In other words, stuck! My role as a counselor is to clarify the issues that create the muck that hold my clients back from healing, growth, and thriving. I help them discover that their lives can get better and change is possible. I believe that the road to healing involves pursing change.
I’ve always been drawn to helping professions. Through Mental Health Counseling I create a safe and confidential environment where together we can explore how and why my clients feel their lives are stuck or in chaos. I have helped people for 30 years as an attorney, but found that all too often, the help I could provide was only temporary and surface level. As a counselor, I hope to guide my clients to lasting change that is deeply rooted in their soul.
I enjoy leading my clients to that "ah-ha" moment when the light comes on and they can begin to see hope.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New clients can call at 407 716-9561 for a brief discussion or they can contact me at [email protected].
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling and have been trained in EMDR trauma treatment, Emotion Focused Couples Counseling, Grief Share, and Pre-Marital Counseling. I have been married for over 41 years and together we have 2 children who are married and thriving. I also have a Law Degree from Florida State University and worked as a lawyer for over 30 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $100 for a 50 minute session. I do not take any form of health insurance, but do accept checks, Venmo and other similar forms of payment. I will consider a sliding scale for those who qualify as I don't want finances to keep anyone from receiving needed treatment. If I can't accept a client for financial or some other reason, I will strive to refer to a community resource.
How did you get started in this business?
I found that the practice of law dealt with facts and fixes, and as a lawyer I was not trained to deal with the emotions of my clients. I pursued Mental Health Counseling so I could help people who are hurting emotionally. While the law provided a temporary bandaid to their problems, counseling affects the soul of a person and can lead to lasting change.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with clients between the ages of 14 and 75 having a varity of issues including anxiety, depression, anger, marital issues, divorce and post divorce, sexual identy, addictions. trauma, grief, low self esteem and those who are just generally stuck in one way or another.
