Jason M Goldberg, LCSW-C, LLC

Jason M. Goldberg, LCSW-C, LICSW is a native of the Washington, DC metropolitan area. He received his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University in 1995. Mr. Goldberg was trained by the Mental Health Association as a crisis counselor dealing with crisis intervention and suicide prevention and intervention.

He received his Masters of Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2002, where he interned as a mental health counselor with Community Connections, an outpatient mental health clinic, and as an Employee Assistance Specialist with the Montgomery County Public Schools. He was trained in conducting Critical Incident Stress Management with Dr. Jeffrey Mitchell and the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. In 2002, Mr. Goldberg worked at the Child and Family Services Agency in Washington, DC and moved on to receive formal training at the Psychiatric Institute of Washington (PIW), an inpatient psychiatric hospital. He was named Social Worker of the Year in 2003 by the interdisciplinary team at PIW. He continues to work at PIW as a clinical social worker on the Child and Adolescent Unit, as well as the Adult Unit.

Mr. Goldberg has had extensive training in working closely with a clinician, Richard Chvotkin, LCSW-C, and a child and adolescent psychiatrist, Dr. Soo Han, who have both been in the field for over forty plus years. He started his own private practice conducting psychotherapy in Bethesda in 2003 seeing children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. In 2004, Mr. Goldberg received training in a Post-Graduate Certificate Program in Child and Adolescent Assessment and Treatment: A Biopsychosocial Approach.

He works with all mental health disorders, substance abuse problems, and behavioral problems by providing individual, couples, and family therapy.
