About

We practice Family Law exclusively, and have done so for a long time. We strive to practice Family Law from a Biblical perspective. That means we encourage marriage partners to remain married, while understanding that no one wants to be in a miserable marriage. If there is a divorce, we are always decent and respectful to all involved. If your goal is to make the other side miserable, there are many lawyers who will do so--but that usually means a big legal bill for each of you. We work to reach resolutions rather than litigating issues. But it takes both sides to come to a resolution. If we can't reach a resolution, we can litigate the case. I used to be a litigation attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice. We have litigated many family law cases over a long period of time. With the other side knowing that we are skilled litigators encourages the other side to come to a resolution rather than hoping for a better outcome through litigation. We provide comprehensive, competent, caring counsel for our family law clients.

We enjoy working with people. Every person is a child of God deserving of love and respect. This is true even of those individuals who are difficult--and some folks can be very difficult.

I'm a father and step-father. Although we practice family law exlusively, as part of that, I have served as a Guardian ad Litem and as a Child and Family Investigator. That experience helps provide a broader perspective to my work as a family law lawyer.

Frequently asked questions

We provide a comprehensive consultation for $100.  We encourage individuals to bring someone with them to the consultation because we cover a lot of ground during the consulation.  Also, if a client has someone they can talk to about the case other than the lawyer, attorney's fees are likely to be substantially less.
