What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for experience, especially experience as a district attorney and a trial lawyer with over 200 jury trials. Experienced attorneys who practice criminal law exclusively and have done so for decades have the expertise, insight and connections to obtain the best results possible on each case.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Ask about their experience, both specific and general. Do they practice other areas of law, or are they an exclusive criminal law defense firm like Alfrey & Associates, PC. The prosecutors know which lawyers are real trial lawyers and which are high-priced babysitters. Prosecutors will negotiate with attorneys they know have the experience to challenge the charges they have brought. Have they tried at least 100 jury trials? Were they previously a district attorney and know how prosecutors think? Do they charge a flat fee like Alfrey & Associates, PC, or will you have to make decisions in your case based upon whether you can keep paying their additional attorneys fees? Do they give you the time to talk and do they listen to what is important to you? We do.

Curt was there for me during a very difficult time in my life, and it's hard to imagine having a better guy at my back. He was always available to answer my questions and concerns not only with honesty, but with kindness and compassion. The prosecution and news made me out to be a criminal, and he treated me like a good person. He set expectations for every possible outcome during my case, the good, bad, and ugly. I knew exactly how everything could turn out, as well as how things would most likely turn out. He let me make the choices on how to handle our case, and was there to represent me no matter what I chose to do. In the Court room, Curt is a boss, he's got the swagger of confidence that will put you at ease when it feels like the cells in your body are vibrating from anxiety. Curt knows exactly what he's doing, and I would trust Curt with my future any day. I hope I never need to rely on his services again, but if I do, he's the guy I want in my corner.

Curtis represented me on a potential felony DUI charge. When I asked what my chances of staying out of felony court were, he simply said " not good". I appreciated his straight up honesty in outlining what I was up against. He deftly handled my case and kept it in county court. My sentence was totally in line with what the prosecution could prove. He is obviously a very busy man but he always responded to my concerns in a very understanding and timely manner. His fees are reasonable and I highly recommend him to anyone in need of his services.

For being an out of state client I couldn't of asked for anyone better to represent my case. He listened to every concern, including my family's. Returned every phone call, email, text promptly. Explaining step by step the procedures in the court room. Mr. Alfrey went above and beyond my expectations!

My dad hired Curt Alfrey for me and I will forever thank him for it! Curt's representation for not one, but three of my cases, one being a COCCA case, has exceeded even my highest of expectations. He was different from some lawyers in that I didn't have to communicate w/ him 24/7 yet I never once doubted, worried or failed to believe that he had everything 100% taken care of, and he always did. He was flexible, reliable and pleasantly easy to work with. I managed to get through three separate cases, serious cases, nearly stress free because of his performance. I thought I was going to have to give up my dream career of teaching because with one case alone I was looking at 14 felonies; Curt got me through all THREE of my cases with no felonies and no jail/doc time. I can't thank him enough for his dedication and loyalty to me. Anytime I reached out or needed anything, he always came through! In a way, I have him to thank for still being able to pursue my dream career! When it comes to getting the job done, he gets it done, period!

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

No one likes to receive a monthly bill from their lawyer. My clients have found great relief in knowing I charge a flat fee. You will know the total attorneys fees from the beginning. Some attorneys quote a low initial fee for minimal work, but have tiers of new fees once the real work begins that can triple their initial quote. My firm does not. I am far more interested in working on defending you and fighting for your rights than I am in billing you every month. I work with each client individually on payment arrangements. My firm is established and, with 26 years experience exclusively in Criminal Law, I am able to charge lower fees than others with my experience. You deserve excellent representation and I will work with you to make it affordable.
