I really enjoy working with entrepreneurs, new companies and established companies looking to expand. Leases are complex documents and often represent one of the largest investments and most important assets for a company. Helping clients understand the complexities of what they are agreeing to, and negotiating the most favorable terms possible, is very satisfying. The biggest perk of my practice is visiting my clients' businesses once they've moved into their space and watching them thrive.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we will have an initial consultation by phone or video conference to discuss the basic lease terms (location, rental rate, term, what improvements will be required). Then, the client will send us the lease to review and mark-up with suggested revisions. We will send that mark-up to the client and then we will discuss the suggestions and create a strategy for negotiating with the landlord. Some clients choose to negotiate themselves and just ask us questions as their negotiations progress; other clients prefer that we actively handle the negotiations from start to finish.
We offer reasonble flat fees for the review and mark-up, then hourly rates for negotiations.
