What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Upon contact, the potential client must fill out a brief intake questoinnaire. After we rule out any potential conflicts, the potential client will meet with one of our attorneys for a legal consultation. Once the attorney is able to determine the scope of the case and resources needed to adequately represent the client, a retainer amount will be quoted and an engagement letter offered. The retainer goes in to a trust and the attorneys will bill against it an an hourly rate. Leftover retainer funds will be returned to the client as the matter closes out.
An associate and a legal assistant will be assigned to the client as points of contact as we offer concierge service and accessibility to our team to answer questions throughout the entire process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education and background is in hospitality and connecting. My role at Hoover Krepelka, LLP, is threefold:
- To support our 15 family law attorneys with recommendations to and interview/vetting of the trusted advisors we refer to that can assist our clients facing divorce. (Primarily financial and legal services.) I manage our trusted advisor network.
- Marketing. I ensure Hoover Krepelka, LLP is visible online and listed and availabe in directories - like The RVO!
- Community Outreach. Since our only focus is on family law, we often time have the need to refer out to domestic violence intervention services and support. I have developed key partnerships with domestic violence intervention centers, therapists and organizations that can assist our clients.

Initial Consultation is complimentary.
Retainer is required with fee agreement upon retaining our firm as counsel. (Amount varies, depending on the scope of the case.)
Attorneys bill at an hourly rate $295-$495/hr.
How did you get started in this business?
I am a connector and have always excelled in stressful and demanding while demonstrating grace. I care about people.
What types of customers have you worked with?
From billionaire CEO to unemployed housewives, professional athletes, military, professional, unemployed... we have worked with all kinds of clients.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Do your homework. It is easy to buy online awards, reviews and "stars" but does your attorney have the experience to strongly advocate for you when the stakes are high? It is a good idea to interview a few attorneys to ensure you find a good fit.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Know what type of divorce you want; DIY, uncontested, mediated, collaborative or litigation. We only represent one party, and will be prepared to litigate on your behalf, though we always aim to settle to keep costs at a minimum. If your soon to be ex retains aggressive counsel, then we highly recommend meeting with us (or with another Certified Familiy Law Specialist.)
