What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Everything starts with a telephone consulation. If the client and we are both interested in going further, we can email the retainer contract and begin work. If the client prefers to meet in person, a time and place is scheduled. There is quite a bit of communication at first as we gather necessary facts and documents to support your case. We communicate a lot by email or text message. If you prefer, we can do Zoom or Team meetings, or in person.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mr. Light has 30+ years experience in civil litigation. He is known for an encyclopedic knowledge of the law and has guided thousands of clients through the legal system. Mr. Light has represented victims of wrongful death, childhood sexual molestation, car/trucking accidents, defective intersections/roads, dog bites, motorcycle collisions, premises liability, product liability, slip and fall, employment discrimination/harassment, insurance bad faith, and medical/dental malpractice. Mr. Light’s clients have been awarded in excess of $100 million dollars in settlement and judgments.
Mr. Light has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Dakota, from which he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He graduated from Southwestern University School of Law, where he was a recipient of the Dean Paul Wildman Scholarship. He is a member of the California, Colorado and Minnesota Bar Associations and is admitted to practice before the United States Central, Southern and Northern District Federal Courts.
