Roman M. Whittaker is a Partner with Anderholt Whittaker LLP. After spending nearly a decade with Best Best & Krieger LLP, Roman teamed-up with J. John Anderholt III to form Anderholt Whittaker LLP. Roman's practice focuses primarily on business start-ups, entity formation, business planning, financing and structuring, including private offerings and Private Placement Memoranda, and alter ego liability; trademarks and intellectual property; business transactions and litigation; trade secrets, business interference and unfair trade practices; business/partnership disputes and dissolutions; human resources, general labor and employment matters; real estate development and land use; common interest developments and HOA law; real estate transactions and litigation; real estate purchase contracts and disputes; distressed properties transactions and foreclosures; escrow disputes; construction contracts, construction defects and mechanic’s liens; commercial leasing and unlawful detainer; asset protection and high-stakes collections.

Roman is a Past President of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce and a founding board member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) - Inland Empire Chapter - Coachella Valley Branch and the Desert Communities Fuller Center for Housing. Roman also sits on the board of directors of the Academy of Musical Performance and previously served on the board of directors of the Coachella Valley Community Trust and Martha's Village & Kitchen.

Roman is a member of the American Bar Association, Desert Bar Association and American Inns of Court - Warren Slaughter Richard Roemer Chapter. Roman serves as a court appointed arbitrator for the Riverside County Superior Court - Desert Bar Association's Mandatory Fee Arbitration Program and has been voted Top Lawyer 9 years running by Palm Springs Life Magazine.
