About
The Law Offices of the Immigration Professor is staffed by three attorneys who have over 50 years of combined experience. Attorney Robert Perkins, who runs the practice, has been practicing immigration law exclusively since 1993 and can often come up with immigration solutions when others cannot. The office can handle complicated immigration cases and also specializes in filing simpler cases quickly and efficiently.
I enjoy plotting out successful immigration strategies for our clients and also empowering them with information about how immigration works so they feel less stressed out.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically we do an initial consultation to map out a strategy for the client and also go through what the process entails -- how long does the process take, what documents they may need, is there a personal interview, are there obstacles to success, and how we can overcome those obstacles. As part of the consultation, we give the client a price quote. As we understand attorneys fees can be expensive for most people, we can often give the client a payment plan over several months. The client then signs our retainer agreement online and we get to work with them getting the information and required documents to file with the immigration service.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a lawyer for 31 years since 1989 and have been practicing exclusively immigration law since 1994. I also taught immigration law as an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois Law School.
