About this pro

We specialize in family law mediation in Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.  We mediate divorces, child custody, child visitation, child support, spousal support and property division.  Don't waste your time and money in court.  The average contested divorce in court takes anywhere between one year and 18 months.  Given the current state of the courts being closed, divorces/family law matters will take even longer.  With mediation you will have certainty.  We charge a flat fee.  Your case is handled by a licensed attorney that specializes in family law, a Certified Family Law Specialist.  Call us for a free consultation.

I enjoy the fact that my client's voices are heard.  My clients have better access to justice and have their matters resolved much faster than any drawn out court battle.  With mediation, they pay a flat fee.  They save their time and money.

Ms. Torres was very helpful in saving me and my spouse thousands of dollars through mediation. We felt like our voices were heard and she handled the matter with ease and had a lot of excellent suggestions for us. I hope I never go through a divorce again, but if I do mediation is the right way to go. Our case was handled very quickly. If it weren't for Ms. Torres mediation skills, I would still be in court wasting thousands of dollars. She really knows her stuff.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Our client's typically call us to set up an appointment with both parties, either by phone or in person.  Once we determine they both want to participate in mediation, we begin the process.  We typically finalze our case under a month.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

California Bar license since December 2001.

Certified Family Law Specialist by the State of California since November 2007.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

We charge a flat fee for divorces.

How did you get started in this business?

I started working in family law in 2000, when I was employed as a law clerk for the Department of Child Support Services and have worked in family law consistently since then.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Our customers are diverse ranging from law enforcement, teachers, retail clerks, and small business owners.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Our mediation cases settle quickly. We can mediate in person or remotely via video and or phone.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Be sure that your mediator is a family law attorney and knows the court procedures in the local courts.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Make sure that both parties will participate in the process.  If the other party does not want to participate, we can also help with a default (where we proceed without the other party).  If the other party wants a contested divorce or family law matter, you will need to litigate.
