About
Mr. Perez is an experienced, reliable, ehical, highly-rated preeminent lawyer. He has offices in Seal Beach which borders Los Angeles and Orange County. As a seasoned trial lawyer, he knows how to develop the proof and admissible evidence to benefit clients in their court cases. Every court case requires an attorney experienced in the rules of evidence and procedure, but not every lawyer has this experience. Mr. Perez also provides bundled and unbundled legal representation in Estate Planning and Probate, thus helping clients who do not have the resources but still want to leave a legacy to their loved ones.
Mr. Perez is an accomplished attorney. Most of his referrals come from other attorneys and accountants. He has earned the respect of his peers and judges in the legal profession. He is listed in Martindale-Hubbell's Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. He has received its highest possible rating, an AV-rating every year since 2000 for legal ability and professional ethics. He can be reached for emergencies at any time.
I am well prepared to represent and defend my client's interests. Because I am a Trial Lawyer, I look at evidence and facts differently than most lawyers. I am not afraid to go to court, if that is necessary. Many times that is not necessary if the client's interests are protected by some basic negotiations and planning. Recently, I learned that many clients are ill-served by not doing basic estate planning to eliminate having to go to Probate Court. Even though I prefer to go to court, I love to help clients help themselves by some proper planning. This gives them peace of mind and gives me satisfaction.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will provide a free consultation of 15-30 minutes to see if I can provide the service the client needs. Because of the Covid-19 environment, the consultation will have to be telephonic or by Zoom. If I can provide the service and if the cient wishes to retain me, the Rules of the State Bar of California require a written retainer agreement.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in Accounting, as well as a law degree from their law school. I have received a wealth of experience from working for the top levels of federal government with the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Justice as an IRS Tax Counsel and federal prosecutor, respectively. This experience benefits all my clients.
