Francis (Frank) Cowhig has been a practicing attorney for over 30 years. After graduating from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California, he worked as a litigation attorney for the Law Offices of Byrnes and Tulchin, eventually overseeing their litigation department and supervising incoming associate attorneys.
In 1990, he opened his own civil litigation/criminal defense law practice in Los Angeles, California. In 1993, he took over Universal Law Group, Inc. in Alhambra, California which dealt primarily in immigration law and expanded the firm to include asylum and removal/deportation clients and cases.
His staff is fluent in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese and other Chinese dialects, making communication between clients and the members of his firm easy and client-friendly. His staff go by the motto that no question or problem is too smal or too bihl to be taken care of and are to be handled as efficiently as possible.
Francis Cowhig has successfully represented hundreds of criminal defendants in state court, as well as immigrants and Permanent Residents in Immigration Court whom the government has sought to remove and deport without good cause or reason.
The goal of his law firm is to ensure that every client is guaranteed due process and fair treatment by the judicial system.
