About

Being a therapist was not my first career. It was a path I choose later in life after learning first hand the power of good therapy. Like most of us, I’ve had my own challenges. I’ve known the pain of divorce and the joys of a wonderful marriage. I’m a parent and a step-parent and have experienced all of the hurts and triumphs that come with both roles. I’ve known successes and failures in many areas of life and I’ve learned a lot from both. I know how it is to feel bad and I know how it is to heal and be happy.

In my 30’s, I made the decision to get the experiences and training that would allow me to help others make their lives better. I earned a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, and later a Doctorate. I began seeing clients in 2001 and have worked with people from many different walks of life. I combine what I’ve learned on my own journey with the formal training I’ve had to provide counseling that is genuine and effective. Helping others build lives that are satisfying and meaningful is important to me.

I work with a number of different counseling methods depending on what concerns are being addressed and each person’s different ways of working through things. If you’d like to talk to me about specific training or therapeutic approaches, please call.
