What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing we do is a free consultation with our clients to do a full case review. This consultation can be done in person or over the phone. After looking over the reports from top to bottom, we will strategize the best possible defenses aimed at getting the charges completely dismissed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Arja Shah graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2002 with Honors in Behavioral Science & Law. She then went to California Western School of Law, graduating in 2007 with her Juris Doctor. Since 2007, Arja has successfully defended over 2,700 clients facing a wide range of criminal charges.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Arja routinely meets with potential clients whom were quoted two or three times what she would charge to handle their case. If the other attorney were to charge extra and the client could not pay even more, their attorney stopped representing the them. This to Arja is unethical and wrong. She is completely upfront about the fee arrangement and does not have any hidden charges. If ever an additional costs are involved, it would be completely discussed and agreed upon beforehand.
Unlike many other firms, Arja does not charge the same high flat fees for a case that include trial fees, especially when most cases do not go to trial. If we do go to trial, you pay then, not before.

Be sure to do your research. How long has the attorney been practicing? Does he/she have a winning track record? Will you actually be working with that attorney, or passed over to a paralegal or other attorney?
