It can be very difficult to take the first step to seek counseling. My intent the moment you walk through the door is for you to feel safe, cared for, listened to, and above all, understood. I am not here to judge or condemn. We all have our stuff. Life gets messy. Life can be complicated. We all need help. I am a people person, which means you have value, simply because you are. I have owned and operated my own private tutoring and counseling practice of Ain’t MisBehavin’ ABCs since 1995. I believe that no one should go without services because of cost. I provide services on a sliding scale meaning that you pay what you can afford.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always loved being real with people. And I love helping people. I started my career first as a teacher. I worked with children with behavior issues in public schools. When I saw the testing become more important than the child, I sought another avenue to make a difference. Once I began working with individuals and families as a counselor, I knew I had found my calling.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with individuals ages 3 - 85 that were dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, isolation, bi-polar disorder, schizoaffective disorders, borderline personality disorder, autism, obsessive compulsive disorder, in schools, developmental centers, and in private practice.
