About
I believe therapy is a partnership: a collaborative process guided by awareness, compassion and mutual exploration. My approach is informed by Attachment Theory and Neuroscience, which affirms that feeling safe is foundational to healing. By creating together a safe environment, we can enter a space where compassion and curiosity can flourish as we follow the wisdom of the body - leading to a more expanded experience of life. We work together on issues that you identify as being important to you. I listen, reflect, ask questions, offer challenges, give perspectives and support you to identify and develop strategies and coping skills
I'm a Certified Somatic Therapist, and my work is guided and informed by a variety of therapeutic modalities. These include, but are not limited to, body-centered psychotherapy, mindfulness training, family of origin exploration, Internal Family Systems, Expressive Arts and Solution-Focused Therapy. I earned a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Science with special emphasis in Systems Counseling from the Leadership Institute of Seattle / Bastyr University and I hold a Baccalaureate Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Utah
