H Myer’s POWER Journeys — Mental Health, Wellness, And Supportive Services
About
I am in a unique position to use my formal education/training combined with my lived experience to make a positive contribution to the community. Because my path to the field has been unique and different than most, I feel that I hold space for other people in a more wholesome, authentic way.
I enjoy learning and growing together with the people with whom I work to support. I deeply value each person's experience and journey that has lead them to this space and time.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I work to get to know the person on a deeper level -- ensuring that I am meeting the person where he/she/they are in his/her/their journey. We will identify and build upon existing strengths, and the process will be trauma-informed and individualized.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a Community (Mental/Behavioral) Health & Wellness Counselor and Certified Peer Recovery Specialist for 10 years. I am trained in trauma-informed, strength-based, person-centered approaches. I am certified in Whole Health & Wellness, and I am a Certified Workforce Development Professional. I am a Qualified Mental Health Professional for Adults & Children (QMHP-A/C), and I am very highly trained in crisis prevention, intervention, and management. I am always striving to add to my training and experience, so the education and training will be everchanging.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ensure that the professional is trained in trauma-informed services. Also, being strength-based and individualized is imperative.
