Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We perform a personal interview with potential clients to understand their needs and goals. Ideally, this is accomplished in person, although a growing number of client prefer to accomplish the entire process remotely from the comforts or their home or office.
After the needs assessment, we then provide a plan to accomplish their realistic objectives. If the client agrees we then have them fill out our engagement and client intake documents. Clients are assiged a client portal to upload and review documents online anytime.
Once the client implements their tax, insurance, or financial plan(s), we like to meet with them at least once again for a mid and/or end-of-year review to ensure they are on track to meet goals.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

What types of customers have you worked with?
While we work with a wide array of clients, our sandbox targets the follow types of clients:
1. Young Professionals (25-35; income > $45K)
2. Parents w/children (Single or Married; homeowners; retirement plans; mid-aged 35-55)
3. Seniors approaching retirements (55- 65: > $250 NAV)
4. Small Businesses (<25 employees; >$250K annual gross revenue)
A client's demographic however is not as important as their desire to learn and grow. Regardless of demographic, we prefer clients who are teacheable/coachable, who recognize the value of our services, and who are commited to improving their financial well-being.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Many people are often more concerned about how much a service is going to cost them, rather than questioning how much not having the service done correctly is costing them.
For instance, we often get clients who ask how much a tax return is going to cost them and may complain about a $300 return. However, after we sit with them and discuss their situation and help them recognize they are leaving $3000 a year on the table, because they are not doing everything they should to reduce their tax liability, their $300 concern becomes irrelavent.
If you are going to engage and pay a professional for their time and knowledge, at a minimum, you should have tought about:
1. What do you expect to received from the engagement?
2. What isyour timeline for the service?
3. Is this a single engagement or is it an ongoing relationship to achieve you goals?
4. Am I organized or do I need help with organzing?
When a client engages us, we promise to provide service based on Integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. Our goal is to demonstrate a total client commitment by placing their needs and interests at the forefront; and provide a holistic approach to Financial and Tax planning; because we firmly believe "We do it Better."
