Frequently asked questions

I interview the client and learn about the client's case and then propose what I am able to do to help meet the client's needs.

I graduated with honors from a top-10 law school, clerked for the Texas Supreme Court, and have more than 25 years of practical experience in the courtroom.

Usually, $400.00 / hour.  Some kinds of matter can be handled at a flat rate or reduced rate.

I grew up in a family of lawyers / judges.  I got started in this business by excelling in the proces of meeting the mandatory requirements of joining the Texas Bar.

A broad variety of clients, from governmental entities (Department of Justice, City of Houston, Harris County) to large multinational enterprises (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Telefónica España, S.A., repeat-adversary of Ford Motor Company) to individuals and small businesses.

Helped a friend from college re-organize and keep operating a local business, by collecting a lot of receivables in connection with a Chapter 11 case.  Not sure if my best war story is beating Ford on behalf of Hans Rekestad (Classic Volvo) and 2600, the Hacker Quarterly, or beating a team of $700 an hour lawyers representing Kevin Spacey against my canadian client.

Hire a lawyer who pays more attention to the details of cliet cases, than to self-promotion through advertising, television, SEO and billboards.

Just talk to the lawyer.  They will help you sort through the issues faster than DIY efforts at self-representation.
