I am a Spiritual Counselor with a Crisis Management & Counseling degree from Univ. of Iowa. I went on to become a liberal Unity minister (licensed and ordained) who respects the diversity of spiritual paths (e.g., Agnostic, Catholic, Protestant, Eastern faiths, First Americans, etc.), thereby practicing nonjudgment and acceptance.
My professional background includes 3 decades of hospital and hospice work, 3x self-employed business owner, and officiating as a Sr. Minister of a church. For the past 9 years, I have had a successful practice as a private practice counselor; mentor to ministerial students; women's retreat facilitator; board leadership trainer, and guest speaker.
I blend a variety of effective life strategies & coping tools to equip you when you are in distress. Amazingly, many of these skills are not readily found in this part of the country. I love working with individuals, couples, and groups who are ready to do the work. I want to help you 'unlock what's already inside' by supporting your confidence.
When people have a shift in their original perspectives, or find ways to better integrate their beliefs, I love that! I am a huge proponate of Enneagrams, dialogue, eyes-open or closed/guided meditation, role-play, and "inner work" assignments. Whenever possible, I invite the client to 'stretch' in order to see how assumptive, dismissive, or avoidance behaviors keep us stuck.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In non-Covid times, the client comes to me to my Tigard office, generally after an introductory phone call. I recommend that we meet for 60-120 minutes so we can learn about the other and reason for your visit.
In Covid times, I am comfortable meeting a client on Zoom, FB, Google or Skype, if they are.
I do not take insurance, so keep my rates highly competitive. Look for testimonials directly on my website.
You have my word that I will not try to convert you or pass judgment. Each person's viewpoint is their own! I have extensive experience with hospital staff, hospice, as well as nonprofit church boards. My skills range in leadership or women's retreat) facilitation; clergy peer/mentoring support, and one-to-one spiritual counsel. I will compassionately and lovingly challenge you to be authentic, while assisting you to do your inner work. Give it a try to find out...
