Its important to have a connection with the person who is helping you through difficult situations. I found that. We all need to feel that the we have found someone who helps present clear information with knowledge and empathy. Tough love with wisdom and compassion.

My typical process involves assessment includes a consultation with the family/teen to acertain what is needed at that time. I then work with the family unit in on goals so that we all are aware of what we are working towards and what that should look like. The buy in of the person who is recieving therapy is of utmost importance.

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker-SUPV. I have been in the field of social work for the past 16 years. In that time my focus has been childrens, teens and mental health. My niche is teenagers, school related issues and inpatient psychiatry.

I accept insurance and private pay. My standard fee is $85 and up per session.

I began in the business working in child abuse and neglect. From there I moved into mental health related issues as they pertained to severe mental health and trauma.

I have worked with children, teens, young adults, adults, and families.

A recent event was my working with a family in crisis due to teens onset of mental illness. I worked with them for 18 months to put the correct interventions in place so that he would be able to cope with daily living

I would state to look for a correct fit in regards to technique as well as who can assist you reach your goals. Take a active role in your mental health just as you would your medical issues. It is just as important.
