    Frequently asked questions

Clients typically meet in person with the attorney who will represent them. Our experienced attorneys will have continuous contact with the client and the client will not simply meet with experienced counsel and then have his or her case passed off to a junior associate or paralegal. At my firm, each client is represented by an experienced attorney and will have direct communication with that attorney.

All of our attorneys have over 20 years in our respective fields.

We do not have a standard pricing system because every case is different. We take some cases on a contingent fee basis and others are hourly. But, we always bill our time conservatively and we work hard to obtain results that justify our bill.

I started the practice of law to help individuals and small businesses. I began as a litigator of complex cases in a medium to large firm that handled cases across the United States and abroad. I litigated cases from coast to coast. There are very few states that I have not had a case in at some time in my career. Later, I decided to start my own firm.

In my 25 years as a litigator, I have worked with a variety of clients. I have represented classes of individuals, governmental entities and businesses with hundreds of thousands of class  members. I have litigated cases against and for large multinational companies. I have represented multinational companies, governmental entities such as cities, and small businesses in non-class action complex litigation. I have represented individuals who were injured or killed in car accidents and I have even represented a dog in a small municipal court case. Additionally, I have negotiated contracts, prepared deeds, prepared employee handbooks, and prepared operational agreements for small businesses.

I am fond of numerous recent cases including (i) a case in which I was able to help a small business obtain a very favorable resolution to litigation that had dragged on for two years before I got involved; (ii) a class action in which I was able to assist in the recovery of millions of dollars for governmental entities; and (iii) a matter in which I was able to help a small business get off to a successful start.

Clients should look for the experience an attorney has and the results that an attorney has obtained for his or her clients. Clients should be wary of the attorneys who talk tough but don't have the results and trial experience to back up their talk.

When clients meet with me, they should be prepared to discuss their case in detail and they should not be afraid to ask questions about any issue, including the attorney-client agreement. I am a detail person and every document and every fact matters. I treat every case as if it was my most important case because I know that to my client it is my most important case. I am very involved and my client's cases are not passed on to a junior level associate or paralegal.
