Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start with asking the client what made them seek counseling or coaching. After the reason is identified we then bring awareness to what goals need to be set and what success looks like to the client.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University and am in continued learning as well as continuing training under Dr. Umona Sharp at Stay Free Ministries, LLC.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
The standard rates for services are:
Counseling: $100
Coaching: $100
Support Groups: $40
Although these are standard rates, there is also a sliding scale for those who qualify for needing one.
How did you get started in this business?
I got started within church as a minister. I would counsel other members of the church as well as conducting marriage counseling. When I felt led to pursue my masters I knew that Pastoral Counseling was the way that I wanted to go so that I could continue to counsel others and help them reach the life that God has for them.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with individual clients who needed cousneling for things such as but not limited to anger management or grief and loss. I have also done a support group with teen clients around the topic of grief and loss as well as married couples.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find the person who is a fit for you. Every counselor might not be for every client but there is hope that there is one that would be a great fit for you.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What motivates you to seek counseling? And are you willing to make your healing a priority?
