Kelsey Wooten M.Ed, LPC
About
I strongly believe counseling is a collaborative process. Each of us is doing the best with what we have, yet we all have room for improvement. Counseling should be a time where you can process your thoughts, experiences, and emotions in a safe and non-judgmental space. We all need help sometimes and there is no shame in asking for it.
I have experience working with individuals who have endured trauma and abuse both sexual and domestic, as well as addiction, depression and anxiety. Due to these experiences, I believe that no one's experience is the same as another's. For this reason, I feel a client-centered approach to counseling is most effective; working together is the best approach to finding what works for you.
I enjoy seeing people gain insight into themselves and learning new skills that help them live a better life.
