Jennifer E. Rich, LCSW, P.C.
About
I am a licensed clinician and trauma specialist who has been in practice for over thirty-five years. My approach to treatment is an integrated and holistic one. While I was formally trained as a psychoanalyst, I adopted ideas and techniques from several schools: dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and existential therapy. Far from being mutually exclusive, these varying approaches to the treatment of disorders and maladaptive behaviors were often complementary. I provide insight, support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address their life challenges, both big and small. Much of my work involves identifying and resolving the recurring thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that impede one’s ability to lead a contented life.
I entered this profession because I find people fascinating. There is no “one size fits all” mode of treatment that works for absolutely everyone. My interest and expertise are in the treatment of anxiety and panic disorders, depression, PTSD, relationship issues, family dysfunction, addiction, and stress management.
