Ive been working with Joleen for a little over a month and I have to say Im beyond happy with how things are going. Shes compassionate and understanding. I found myself lost and struggling after my divorce and two close family deaths and Joleens compassionate nature just puts me at ease. Highly recommend her if youre in need of guidance though a difficult time.

Joleen is one of the sweetest and most encouraging people I have ever got the honor of speaking with. She made me feel so understand and validated my feelings, no matter the discussion. She also called me out A LOT during the first few sessions about shoulding all over myself :) Cannot thank Joleen enough for all the help and tools she has provided me with, along with lending a kind ear during a difficult transition in my life. When I first came to Joleen, I was very depressed, and was weighed down heavily with feelings of inadequacy in my relationships and my ability to make connections with others. I experienced sexual abuse in my childhood and lost my relationship with my mom due to the unresolved pain. I had been to so many different types of therapy: group therapy, role playing, hypnosis, visual re-imaging therapy - and I was considering checking in to a psych unit. I saw the commercial for Better Help, the one where the woman appears to be having a panic attack. She literally unzips her chest and all of the words and feelings come tumbling out. That is exactly what I needed in my therapist, and Joleen has been a perfect match. I think the way she helped me most was by listening to my abuse story, letting me tell it, getting an understanding of the situation, then redirected my path to move forward, to no longer be defined by the label of abuse survivor, to do work that really made changes in my mindset. She helped me to peel back the layers, to name what was truly getting in the way of my happiness, and helped me to let go of the issues that other forms of therapy kept me entrenched in for so long.

I am forever grateful to Joleen for her patience, her gentle pushing to get me out of my ego and helped me to be vulnerable and truly work toward making the connections with others that I’ve longed for.
