Empower Counseling And Coaching PLLC
About
I love working with people to relieve their stress and anxiety. We work on building a repetoire of strategies to deal with anxiety, depression, and multiple pressures. I am big on learning effective communication and connection to get what one wants and needs. I use strengths-based, client-centered therapy. I focus on who you really are, and building a strong self.
I am clinically licensed as an LCSW in Illinois and Arkansas. I currently do teletherapy only and am private pay and insurance-based. My passion lies in empowering people to feel confident and in control of themselves and their lives. I believe stress in life leads us from our strength, leaving us feeling depleted and anxious. I am excited to help people discover their inner strength, confidence, and well-being.

What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with people struggling with feeling like they are stuck. It may be depression or anxiety holding them back, or relationships, or a feeling of not moving forward or not being hopeful. I enjoy investigating why someone feels the way they do, and working within that person's strengths to move forward. I have worked with all ages and the variety of circumstances are amazing! I love working with people to live well within those circumstances with hope and energy!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
It is so important for you to feel comfortable with your therapist. Any new relationship can feel a bit uncomfortable, but you should get a good feeling of connection with a new therapist. It can take some time to settle in, tackling uncomfortable topics, but an initial good feeling is imperative.
