I have been a Clinician for over 30 years. My experience includes working with individuals, families, and groups. Areas of expertise includes substance abuse, mental health (depression, anxiety) , MISA (Mentally ill Substance Abusers), Domestic Violence as well as other Trauma. Adults, adolescents, children, and families are welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Being part of a process that enables people to experience hope that they can recover from whatever storm has come their way. It's a wonderful experience to see people go from a place of fear or desperation to a place of hope and fulfillment.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin by gathering basic information as well as other pertinent information relative to the issue at hand. Next, we discuss our options and choices for therapy. Next, we think about what your goals are for therapy as well aswas a plan accomplish those goals while in therapy. We evaluate progress with those goals in an ongoing basis. I practice Brief Therapy. The average length is 10 Sessions. Most often, issues are resolved during this time. If "we" (the client and I) decide there are new goals, we continue. It is goal oriented so we can measure the effectiveness.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have obtained a Masters Degree in Psychology. I am also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Insurance plus co-pay. Non-insured are welcome as well. When this is the case, I charge a standard co-pay fee. As part of giving back, I can provide services for indigent individuals as well. This would be based on a sliding fee scale.
How did you get started in this business?
I began in 1989 as an Outreach Worker. This began my career in the helping profession 😀👍🏼
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a very diverse group of people. This has included adult women and men, adolescents, and children, as well as families. My experience includes working with mental health, addictions, Criminal Justice clients and DUI.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have been helping several individuals struggling with anxiety around covid19 concerns.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Be sure to listen to your "gut". Sometimes we know far more than we give ourselves credit for.
