I've been counseling folks for many years, and I have found enormous satisfaction in knowing that I've made a difference in the lives of those I've worked with. Being an RN as well as a therapist gives me a valuable perspective, and I understand that good health isn't just a physical characteristic but a series of choices and decisions about how we live in our world, and in our relationships.
I never give up; I understand that everyone comes from a unique set of circumstances, and that we are all a compilation of what we've seen, heard, and felt from our first days til our last. I am passionate about the potential for change that comes with a willingness to examine the possibilities we all have.
I particularly like working with folks who have relationship and substance abuse issues, as they often intertwine.

I have been using Dyannes counseling services for over 10 years. Dyanne has a very calm demeanor and empathic personality. Her empathy comes from her own personal experiences. She can relate to things in my life, because she had similar experiences. Dyanne is well versed in handling family issues, work concerns, raising children, and death. We have discussed it all! What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will invite you to tell me what you need from our first visit. Your story will unfold naturally during that process. I invite questions about the process as we proceed, and will check with you to make sure that you are feeling heard. By the end of the first visit, my clients typically feel comfortable, understood, and feel that I have offered hope for positive change.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training as both an RN and a counselor comes together to inform my understanding, along with my decades of experience.

My fees are posted on the consent that we discuss on the first visit.
How did you get started in this business?
My work as a psychiatric RN drew me to the study of psychology. It was and still is my passion to create change when it's needed, satisfaction and comfort when it isn't.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with adults, couples, and lots of adolescents with various issues of depression, anxiety, changing circumstances and relationship problems. I draw on decades of experience to formulate the client/counselor relationship that emerges.

Getting a puppy that has become an important part of my life!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Allow yourself to "feel" whether you think the person you're talking to has compassion, understanding, and empathic concern along with professional knowledge and experience.

Will I feel accompanied and safe on my journey toward a new and better way of living?
