As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Michael received a Community Counseling Masters Degree in Psychology from Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia. Michael also holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Services and an Associate’s of Science Degree in Business from Shorter University in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Fountain is the Founder and Executive Director of Fountain to Foster H.O.P.E., an in-home based counseling service to assist, encourage and uplift families to achieve their fullest life or career potential.
Michael presents as a seasoned Licensed Therapist that has worked in a lot of community-based setting and roles. I have worked on an inpatient hospital in social work for 6 years. Over the last 6 to 7 years my role as mainly involved Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director roles working as mainly supervising un-licensed staff and providing clinical supervision and oversight to programs. Currently, I am a Clinical Director for a CORE agency and supervise about 40 to 50 field staff providing in-home counseling services, staff supervision consist of managing therapist, supervisee trainees, Licensed Clinician, Paraprofessionals and Certified Peer Specialists.
My scope of population is many and varied providing individual, family and couples counseling . Some areas, I specialize in clinical issues of addictions, grief and loss, depression problems, oppositional and defiant issues for children, homelessness, spiritual connectedness, leadership development, stress management, LBGQT issues and trauma that impact the growth, development and potential that impedes one’s personal growth.
