Laurie Chandler, LMFT
About
By listening to symptoms, complaints, and yearnings, I help introverts and extroverts figure out what's meaningful to them for how they want to live their lives. I support clients to follow their sparks of vitality to live congruently with their deepest selves. We work on anxiety regulation, clear communication, practical steps and existential questions.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I don't have an agenda other than trusting the client's intuition and psyche for where to go. I help the client make space for all feelings including sadness, jealousy, and anger so we can look for what information they hold. I challenge self-critical thinking and support self-compassion. When there is fear and anxiety, we try to identify any distorted thinking that fuels those emotions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
MA Counseling Psychology
MA Mythological Studies and Depth Psychology
Diploma in Studio Art
BA Sociology

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Listen to your heart. Look for what feels comfortable but don't be afraid to to stretch yourself. The whole process can feel uncomfortable to open up to a stranger.
