Center For Counseling, Recovery, & Growth
About
With me, you can greatly improve your communication (individually or with your partner). Communicating better improves your confidence, your self-esteem, and your relationships.
If you're in need of help with addiction or compulsive behavior, my experience with men in recovery will likely prove valuable for you, too. I focus on the causes of your problem in addition to helping you find better control over the behavior and preventing relapse. I have extensive experience helping men get control over their compulsive sexual behavior, too.
I changed careers (almost 20 years ago now) because I wanted to help people. I didn't fall into this field out of college. I needed some life experience before I could help others in their lives. A license alone wouldn't qualify me.
The work I do benefits most anyone who wants to be more effective at life. Because I don't work much with severe mental disorders, I consider my work to be similar to that of a dentist: treat problems that are common to everyone from simple perspective shifts (like a small cavity filling) to in-depth life adjustments (like a root canal) and then offer check ups and maintenance (like regular cleanings with your dentist).
What I most enjoy about my work is the feeling when I go home at night realizing that I made a difference in someone's life that day.
