About
I would love to help your child feel happy and safe in this world. Most of the children I work with have anxiety, sensory processing challenges, and social challenges. I have found that once they start to feel safe in their bodies and in their environment, they start to open to connect and form genuine friendships with others. They start to enjoy exploring new environments, new activities, and getting to know new people. As a result not only do they learn new things, most importantly they enjoy the process and are no longer fearful. I hold masters and doctorate degrees in occupational therapy where I focused my research on understanding the nervous system’s response to stress, and interventions that help to retrain the fight-flight-freeze response. My methods promote calm and peaceful interactions and spark curiosity, exploration, learning, and engagement. My life‘s work is to help fearful children blossom and share who they really are with the world, and be able to receive all that the world has to offer to them!
I also have a big heart for stressed out, tired moms who have been working so hard to help their child. My joy is to work with the whole family to help everyone find well-being and happiness. Please check out my Yelp family reviews to see testimonials of families that I have helped over the years. You can also see upcoming and previous family events and services on my Facebook, YouTube and business web pages when you google Canyons to the Sea OT. I look forward to getting to know you and your family and helping to nourish the kinds of changes you are looking for in your life!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet your family where you need to work on skills! I can come to your home, meet you at a park, go on an outdoor adventure, spend some quiet time in nature, and I have a specially designed home-based clinic. I also teach small group classes and programs for children and adults, and I offer a monthly family outing in the community. I often attend special venues and events to help your child navigate challenging social or sensory situations. I do occasional therapy from “the Canyons to the Sea”!
