Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There is a brief introductory phone interview where I discuss the coaching process with the client and uncover what the client's needs are and see if the client believes we will be a good match. Then, if things look good, we will proceed with scheduling the coaching session or sessions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 15 years of coaching experience as an internal and external coach coaching teams and individuals. I have completed a comprehensive evidence-based coaching program plus all of the requirements for the professional coaching certificate through the International Coaching Federation. I am taking continuing education hours to ensure my credential will be renewed in 2020.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is $90.00/hour for individual clients. With team coaching the pricing will be different depending on the size of the team and the negotiated timeframe.
How did you get started in this business?
I began as an internal coach in healthcare working with my human resources partners. I found coaching to be a natural fit for my skill set and I enjoy working with staff members and leaders.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with frontline staff members through executive leaders in coaching.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have fond memories of recent coaching with a non-profit leader who is pulled in so many directions that making time for self-care became the new priority for the survival of herself and the organization. It is easier to see this when it is not happening to you.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who makes you feel comfortable and with whom you develop rapport. Do you feel you can work with this person and be vulnerable to them? Building trust is very important in coaching relationships. If there is no trust, it will be a waste of time.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Are you ready to make a change in your life? Change takes work so be ready to put some effort into the coaching process. Be realistic with yourself about what you want in your life.
