About this pro

I am a radically inclusive, affirming, strength-based practitioner with a significant and varied toolbox of skills to support your goals, intentions, and desires.

What that means in a practical sense is that if you have ever felt like a freak, like you don't fit in, or you have an identity or lifestyle that is commonly judged by 'mainstream' society, I get it and I see you.

I can work with you to clarify or refine your goals, create a plan, and apply a selection of modalities that are most likely to benefit you. You might think of me as a transformational coach with a unique perspective and toolbox.

My qualifications include: Certified Reiki Master Teacher, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, training as a Polarity Practitioner, including Craniosacral Unwinding, Reflexology.  I am also an ordained minister/spiritual counselor, with more than 30 years in my esoteric spiritual journey.

I have a beautiful space in a small spa in Tempe.  Check out or my business page on Facebook by searching #morejoylesssuffering for more information about me and/or my treatment space.

My primary underlying belief is that we all can have More Joy, Less Suffering...

So, I get tremendous satisfaction witnessing clients create better lives.  That moment of realization or transformation, or even that moment of relief or relaxation, perhaps of self-acceptance, is magical to me.

I came to this career path later in life, having done quite a range of things over the years. This is the only thing I've ever done where the act of doing the work inspires and feeds me.  Whether it's coaching, Hypnotherapy or some other 'chair' work or 'table' work (hands on) it satisfies my need to make a difference, to help people bring more joy to their lives and reduce their suffering.

Kind, inviting, affirming, validating, and peaceful energy. The modalities offered have helped me identify many things in my past that I didn't realize were affecting my present. The tools offered are helping take back control of my life and unpacking old baggage I wish I'd seen to Years ago.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I offer complimentary phone consultations if you have any questions or need clarification, etc.

When you are ready to book a time or purchase a series or gift certificate you can do so online at or by emailing me at [email protected]

Prior to your 1st appointment, I will ask you to fill out a fairly detailed intake form that I'll use to get us started in our discovery process. Your 1st appointment will be a mix of discussion and planning as well as an 'active' modality of some sort (Hypnotherapy, energy work, polarity therapy or exercises, Craniosacral, etc.). Further appointments will vary but likely have a greater proportion of active components.  You should expect to do 'homework' between sessions designed to support your process.

My perspective is that I am essentially a specialized guide.  I have skills. training, tools, wisdom, experience and certifications, etc., and I will engage those in your service. And... you remain ultimately responsible for your own healing, your own process.  You are the greatest expert on you, and your wisdom and effort is crucial, and you get to own your successes.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (which means I did at least 350 hours of education, as well as passed written and practical exams). I have 200+hours of training as a Polarity Therapist which included craniosacral Unwinding and reflexology. I am a Certified Reiki Master Teacher (I received my final attunement in 2013, spending more than 500 hours in supervised practice over several years). I am an Ordained Minister and Spiritual Counselor through the Universal Life Church (2008) which reflects a recognition of a benchmark in my esoteric spiritual journey that has continued over 30+years. I graduated from the Integrative Healing Arts Program at the Southwest University of Healing Arts in 2019, a program that included training in coaching, ethics, resiliency, and communication as well as specific modalities.

In my 'previous life' I have been amongst other things a writer, a trainer, a scheduler, a manager and while these aren't formal training, my work and life experience give me a broad and unique perspective as a practitioner.

Additionally, I am trauma informed,  LGBTQ-friendly, pronoun sensitive, sex-positive, consent centered, and alternative lifestyle/kink aware.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

My base exchange for services is $100.00 hour, $150.00 for 90m for a singular session.

I have a 1st time client discount for 90m sessions only, and have series purchase options. I also offer my 1h sessions an an option within the spa's membership program.

(Feel free to email me at [email protected] if you have questions regarding pricing or have an extenuating circumstance and would like to discuss sliding scale or alternative energy exchange)

How did you get started in this business?

I have recommitted to this work over the last several years, seeking further training and certifications to build a clinical toolbox.  But it would be equally true to say that I have always been a healer, a sensitive, an empath.  So, I'm not sure that I can remember how I 'started' as much as a long twisty journey in which I repeatedly returned to my purpose with greater clarity.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with clients from young-adulthood through seniors.  The majority of my clients are folks in their 40's (sometimes a little younger) who have reached the point where they are ready to release living for everyone else and embrace who they really are, want to be, and how to live for themselves. Frequently, people find me who describe themselves as exhausted, stressed, in pain, or perhaps as trauma survivors...people who suffer with depression, anxiety, codependency, difficulty setting and maintaining boundaries, shame, not feeling like enough, or even worthy of love; I also see people with a burning desire to find deeper purpose, connection (spiritual as well as day to day), or to awaken to their own gifts. (often these 2 lists have a lot of overlap).

I do not work with children, and will only see clients in active addiction if they are also under the care of a therapist or other licensed professional and working on their recovery.
