How did you get started in this business?
A former mentor helped redirect my path early on in my career. My first year in college I transitioned into a part-time marketing role and it quickly became the right fit. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Understand the context of an expert's skillset or background, rather than a list of responsibilities on a resume. To add to this, have candid and open conversations about challenges or problems the expert has solved for prior companies or clients.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Have a sense of key focus areas or priorities to make good and efficient use of time on both sides. And, be clear and upfront about urgency and deadlines, while also putting expectations front and center.
