What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The first meeting is just about getting to know each other and if we would be a good match to work together.  Finances are very personal so we need to trust each other and understand what each party is looking to accomplish.

The next meeting is reviewing the information we will be working with, organizing, and prioritizing our financial goals.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

I can be paid for my services in several ways.  One way is a fee on accounts that I manage.  Another is a one-time financial planning fee.  The last option is an initial planning fee with an ongoing monthly fee.


How did you get started in this business?

I started in the business in college with a short internship with another advisor.  When I graduated I went to work for the same company to obtain my licenses.  After that, I worked for a local firm where I learned a lot about many aspects of financial planning.  I continued my education by getting more licenses and my CFP(R) designation.  Today, I have stepped out on my own so I can help and educate people about living their best financial future!


What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with all types of customers from retirees to young families to small business owners.  I've handled everything from complex retirement plans to stock option plans to contributions to an IRA.  I have the experience and knowledge to handle any situation!


What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

My advice would be to interview them.  Ask a lot of questions and have them explain their fees.  If you don't understand, then maybe it's not a good fit.  The first meeting should be free and just trying to see if you would like to work together.


What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

The most important thing to consider when working with a financial professional is trust.  Finances are very personal for most people and it's important to understand what is happening.
