Hello, my name is Corbin Lindsey, the owner of Birdseye Financial located in Marysville, WA. Since 2002, I have helped hundreds of clients retire with peace of mind knowing that they are on target for reaching their goals while addressing their concerns. This has only been accomplished through building long-lasting relationships focused on financial analysis, education, utilizing strategies, and having access to over 36 insurance companies and institutional-grade investments.
If you have a broker, a banker, or a plan from work, chances are more than likely that you have not experienced the level of service and expertise we offer. Our planning offered at no cost includes Income and Retirement planning which means includes tax strategies, risk management, fee analysis, among other areas of importance. Many clients have Estate, Legacy, and Asset protection concerns. We have the ability to focus on many areas of importance and believe that our due diligence will make a difference in your ability to reach your financial goals.
Our process is simple and straight forward. We begin with a 15-minute phone consultation where we talk briefly about your situation to make sure that we are the right type of advisor you need.

If we both decide we may be a good fit, then we schedule our first meeting where we can establish your goals and address your concerns. Perhaps help you dream about what Retirement looks like to you. We go further into detail about what we do and how we run our practice.

During these meetings, we often meet at my office or a place of convenience, and for some, we can visit in their homes or at a local restaurant. During the COVID epidemic, we have offered online virtual meetings.
After our initial meeting, we create for you a personalized Retirement Analysis at NO COST. We educate you on areas of concern and the areas that could improve your portfolio. Many clients we meet come to us with portfolios that contain products that do not help them, or fees that are too high, or even strategies that have not been implemented either due to the advisors lack of knowledge or perhaps out of their area of expertise. My practice has been built around long-term relationships with my clients, offering analysis and education and annual reviews at NO additional cost. This is part of my due diligence.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My process for new clients is quite simple and straight forward. We begin with a 15-minute phone consultation followed by an in-person meeting at my office or a place of convenience or even a virtual meeting due to COVID or distance involved. We establish your goals and expectations. Address your concerns and start the process of creating a personalized Retirement Analysis at no cost to you.

Once we have created and personalized your Retirement Plan, I will educate you on areas that will enhance your portfolio. These may include tax, risk, and fee reduction strategies, or wealth transfer strategies, or perhaps just making sure you do not run out of money during retirement.


I offer all my clients an amazing opportunity for RETIREMENT PLANNING!!!

First, we build a customized Retirement Plan that allows you to see how your Income, Assets, Expenses, Risk, Rate of Return, Taxes, and Inflation will affect your long-term Retirement. In fact, we even give you access to a Client Portal where you can log in and make changes to your plan anytime you wish.

Second, we offer an education on proven retirement strategies, how to increase your income potential, while lowering your risk and fees on investments. We teach you about Income strategies that many advisors do not know because most are what are called Accumulation specialists, not income specialists.

Third, we have access to the top Insurance products in Washington state. We have products that many other advisors do not have. We have access to an institutional-grade fiduciary platform for your investments. Why use a broker when you can have a Registered Investment Advisor?

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Since 2002, we have taken all phases of retirement planning to a heightened level of expertise by learning from the best of the best in our industry. With both online education, in-person mentoring and numerous industry required courses; we have reached a level of offering advanced strategies many advisors have not achieved.

We have partnered with and worked alongside some of the biggest names in the Retirement, Income, Asset, and Tax Planning segments of our industry. 

For us, there is no surprise, but we do find our clients are surprised at the level of knowledge and expertise we offer along with the ability to help them understand these strategies in a simplified format.

We are a NO FEE advisory practice that believes in providing more than expected and a level of service few have ever experienced. Why pay a fee and become a transaction rather than build a relationship with your advisor and offer them referrals when they amaze you with their level of service?

How did you get started in this business?

With 15 years as a business owner of a computer reseller, it was time to make a change and get more involved in the lives of people rather than just products and services.

In 2002, I became licensed for both insurance and investments. As a captive agent, I learned quickly what was wrong with the industry. Advisors are taught what the captive companies want the advisors to teach and sell. I found this was not always in the interest of the client. 

So in 2005, I started my own Independent agency. I was able to offer any Insurance and Investment that was best for my client and their needs and not that of the big insurance companies. 

It began the journey of analyzing every step of a person's retirement plan through their lifetime. We offer Income planning to tax planning to Estate Planning. Much of these stages are left out of most practices. Not ours! We know how important this can be to your retirement. 

Regarding tax and legal concerns, we are not CPAs or attornies, but we do educate on these topics so that your better equipped to address these issues with the appropriate advisor.

We have been told that our level of service and expertise far exceeds most advisors our clients have had, even those who are Fee-based.

We build relationships with our clients, not transactions.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All of my clients are of Retirement age (55-85) and have assets from $100,000 to $11 Million. Many have real estate, market risk investments, and even came to us with an existing broker. But after meeting with us and experiencing what we offer and how we implement our processes, they chose to work with our company exclusively. 

As an expert in Retirement Planning, Income Planning, Tax Strategies and with a Fiduciary Institutional platform there is no comparison to other brokers and advisors as our clients have told us.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I had a client who lost her husband and was distraught about what to do. We started by creating a customized retirement plan, giving her the peace of mind she needed.

Then we improve her situation with much-needed strategies that were easy to implement. She has been a great client of ours now for several years.

We take pride in helping improve the lives of our clients and always appreciate the referrals we receive because of our passion and expertise.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Always check their background licenses with the insurance commissioner and what services they offer. Meet and interview. Retirement planning analysis should be part of their process.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

What are their financial goals, concerns, and needs?

How has that advisor accomplished these for their clients?

Do they offer just products, or do they offer the crucial planning that should take place prior to implementing any products?

Does the advisor understand all facets of Retirement Planning, including Income strategies, tax strategies, Risk, and fee reduction strategies?
