Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start out by going over a questionnaire about you and your loved one to pinpoint the perfect gesture and also to get to know them through your eyes. Next, we come up with a feasible budget for your project. Finally The Thought that counts puts together an outline of a few different choices for you and together we come up with a blueprint of what we will be making happen. We do the work, you take the credit !
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Sports, Entertainment and Event Management with a minor in Food & Beverage Management followed by a license in Mixology in 2010 and ever since I have worked under properties belonging to IHG, Marriott & Hilton! I planned large scale events for the past 12 years and now I would like to do more work in the community on a one on one basis.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Each package is built custom on the need in which a small service charge is added to a budget that you decide on. There is no budget too small or too large.
How did you get started in this business?
I have been an entertainer my entire life. I went from being the entertainment to managing it. It brings me great joy putting together little puzzle pieces to make one big beautiful picture. Each client smile and satisfaction is how I measure my success daily.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with quite a diverse roster of clients thus far. The list includes pharmacists, construction workers, business owners, truck drivers, accountants, stay at home mothers, welders and the list goes on and on.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I worked with a gentlemen who wanted to surprise his wife on her 57th birthday! He had no idea what to do but he knew he wanted to get their good friends together to celebrate!
I made reservation for an oceanfront hotel & restaurant decorated their room with rose petals, balloons a few bottles of wine, decorated their dinner table for 10 and had a cake custom decorated and ready for a sweet birthday song. Everything down to the candles and lighter in the waiter's hand was orchestrated by me. I accepted his request and made sure he didn't have to lift a finger in making his wife feel special. They were both very happy and thanked me immensely. My heart was so full!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would recommend working with someone who can put their ideas down in black and white and also someone who can be transparent about pricing and the way money is allocated. Trust is a major factor when working on behalf of a loved one. Make sure you are working with someone you trust.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Think about what the occasion is, who it's for, what would be an ideal gesture, and a few fun facts about the person you would like to surprise.
